Erotic fiction as an Internet phenomenon has exploded in recent years; through fiction sites such as Lusty Library and the advent of eBook publishers specializing in erotica, the undeniable appeal of erotic fiction has become widely acknowledged, especially with women. Even traditional romance far has gone edgier and sexier in order to meet popular demand.

“The site has grown so much in the past two years, I’m so excited about how well it’s doing,” says the Lusty Librarian, the site’s moderator. “The users love it and continue to make it better and better every day!”

First launched in 2005, Lusty Library now has over 50,000 members and almost 4,000 stories archived in its library. Lusty Library is well known for its popular themed writing contests, including its annual Halloween Erotica Contest. The site also hosts a prestigious “Story of the Year” Contest that has so far dubbed one story with the honor, a 2006 story that is still being featured on its main page.

“I was one of the first to submit my stories after stumbling across the site when it was first up,” reveals Lusty author Maddy, who first joined in the site’s early days. “I thought I had finally found a safe and exciting place on the Internet to share my writing and to just hang out. I don’t post in the forums as much as I used to, but I’m still there reading all the new stories just about every day. I can’t get enough.”
