Edison, NJ (PRADULT) April 21, 2006 — 1973 seems like just yesterday to some but to others it may as well have been when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Fantastic, sometimes unbelievable headlines rocked the country, from the end of a war to the beginning of the end of a presidency, and in Edison NJ an adult shop named Playtime opened its doors for the first time. Playtime was one of the first stores in the tri-state area to carry adult novelties and also among the first to offer adult videotapes instead of reel to reel 8mm films in the late 1970’s. On September 16th, 2006 Playtime plans to help illuminate and preserve a bit of the past, and the present, for the future, by burying an adult themed time capsule, or as they call it, a Playtime Capsule.

The airtight, waterproof, archival quality, Playtime Capsule will be filled with artifacts not only from Playtime’s nearly four decades of operation but with memorabilia from adult stars of both yesterday and today. “It’s amazing how many adult stars want to be involved� says Playtime owner Deirdre Krasner, “we started out simply asking a handful of performers for memorabilia and it snowballed rather quickly. We expected to get a few autographed photos and perhaps a DVD or two but each day brings a new package from another adult star. So far we not only have signed photos and DVDs but autographed costumes and replica peni molded from the male stars�. Playtime General Manager Nick Smerecki is equally surprised “We’ve had to increase the size of the time capsule twice already. We planned on something the size of a large shoebox and now we are around the size of a small refrigerator. It’s spectacular that so many adult stars want to be involved and are willing to donate their personal memorabilia. We thought it would be hard to get the stars contribute but they are far more giving than we ever could have hoped. Joanna Angel, Kylie Ireland, and Gina Lynn have been especially generous, as has California Exotics�.

PlaytimeCapsule.com webmaster John Charles is especially excited about the upcoming event, “It’s taking on a life of its own. We expected this to be a small, local event. Now I’m getting e-mails from around the globe from stars and fans who want to attend the event and/ or donate memorabilia for the September 16th interment. We’ve even had a cable network inquire about filming the event for a documentary. We’re making history as we preserve it. Playtime usually gets a good amount of press coverage when we do our annual food drive but the Playtime Capsule seems to be eclipsing all of that very quickly�.
